ARCO/Murray Services

LEED

ARCO/Murray has adapted to the needs of our clients in their approach to sustainable design. The idea of “building green” has become more popular and economically feasible and ARCO/Murray has the capabilities to design and build a quality, cost effective sustainable building to meet the needs of our clients.

The decision to construct a “green” design/build project begins with each client’s individual needs. The level of LEED® certification obtained on each project begins with a client’s vision and willingness to promote environmentally and energy conscious building practices. With this level established, we coordinate and review the project’s design and develop a LEED® pre-certification checklist with a corresponding cost analysis to understand the impact on the project budget. ARCO/Murray manages this design coordination to ensure that the appropriate number of credits in all categories will be met and the desired LEED® certification is attained while considering and maintaining our client’s budget.

With the help of our architects, engineers, design/build contractors, and vendors, ARCO/Murray has taken multiple projects through the LEED® classification system for New Construction. Utilizing the experience and resources of our design/build team, we can design a facility capable of achieving multiple credits through a coordinated effort in all seven categories of the LEED® NC Criteria.
