ARCO/Murray a leading national design-build contractor specializing in self-storage development, has partnered with YourSpace America to deliver a new 153,178-square-foot Class A self-storage facility in Houston, Texas. Operated by CubeSmart, the 4-story facility features 1,299 climate-controlled storage units, 41 exterior drive-up units, and covered RV parking, providing a diverse range of storage solutions designed to serve the evolving needs of the surrounding community.
Located just off Interstate 69, this facility is the only climate-controlled self-storage option within a three-mile radius, positioning it as a premier choice for consumers in the growing surrounding Houston submarket.
Designed by Magellan Architecture and constructed by ARCO/Murray, the facility combines operational efficiency with a high-quality architectural presence. The structure utilizes light-gauge steel framing with structural steel incorporated into the office and loading areas to support long-term durability and performance. Exterior finishes feature a combination of EIFS, metal panels, and masonry, creating a modern façade that enhances curb appeal and offers a recognizable building presence from Interstate 69.
The completed facility reflects the collaborative efforts of YourSpace America, Magellan Architecture, CubeSmart, and ARCO/Murray to deliver a best-in-class self-storage asset tailored to the local market. Recognized by CubeSmart leadership as “one of the nicest Cubesmart facilities in the Houston metropolitan area”, the project demonstrates the value of thoughtful design, strategic site selection, and expert execution in today’s competitive self-storage market.
