ARCO/Murray is a design-build general contractor focused on the full spectrum of education and development. This includes building daycares, K-12 schools, therapy centers, child programming, private institutions, and vocational schools. Our experience spans ground-up construction, renovations, and repositioning of existing buildings to support evolving learning environments and community use.
Our work in education is deeply personal. One of ARCO’s key social impact pillars is Education, and we see every project as an extension of that commitment. Beyond the jobsite, our associates volunteer, mentor, and serve on boards that support youth development. That same passion shows up in our projects. We strive to bring a community-first mindset, prioritizing local partners and vendors for each campus, school, and center we touch.
We collaborate closely with clients to understand evolving program models, safety & security, building operations, technology needs, and flow. We then tailor our design-build approach to support it. Our integrated team of designers, engineers, project managers, and field leaders work together on value-added solutions that hit project goals and help dollarize decisions.
We’ll align budget with scope and schedule during preconstruction to help schools make informed choices that maximize every dollar and deliver flexible, future-ready learning environments. By getting involved early, we can provide realistic schedules, identify critical path items, and lock in long-lead materials so projects stay on track and schools can confidently plan upcoming semesters, enrollments, and programming.
We understand that educational-related facilities rarely have the luxury of shutting down. ARCO/Murray specializes in phased and occupied-campus construction, coordinating carefully around schedules, testing windows, and seasonal breaks to minimize disruption. From summer overhauls and fast-track renovations to weekend and after-hours work, we align our approach with each client’s calendar and safety requirements. Continuous communication, a suite of project tools, weekly schedule updates, and clear look-aheads keep administrators and boards informed at every step, reducing surprises and helping stakeholders make timely decisions.
