The ARCO Safe Program

ARCO Safe is our company-wide safety program, establishing consistent safety expectations and resources across our projects. Supported by dedicated safety professionals across the country, the program is driven by leaders throughout our organization and extends from preconstruction through project completion.

Our approach goes beyond compliance, giving project teams and trade partners the tools, training and guidance they need to identify hazards, understand expectations and maintain safe jobsites.

Safety Throughout the Project

Safety is planned from preconstruction through project completion, with ongoing communication and collaboration to keep our teams and trade partners aligned throughout the construction process.

Preconstruction & Planning

We conduct an internal safety kickoff and hazard assessment, develop site-specific safety and emergency plans, review subcontractor safety performance and prequalification requirements, and hold pre-mobilization meetings to establish safety expectations before work begins.

Field Execution

We provide site-specific safety orientation for all project personnel and conduct weekly toolbox talks and coordination meetings to keep crews informed and aligned as work progresses.

Oversight & Control

Our Superintendents, Project Managers and Safety professionals conduct regular safety inspections, with additional planning, coordination and controls for high-risk activities.

Accountability

We conduct daily safety verifications and provide real-time coaching and feedback to address concerns and reinforce safe behaviors.
