Zion Canyon Hot Springs, A WorldSprings Property, Breaks Ground Near Zion National Park

Key Stakeholders Celebrating the Groundbreaking of Zion Canyon Hot Springs

Zion Canyon Hot Springs, a WorldSprings property poised to redefine social wellness in Southern Utah, celebrated the beginning of the project with a groundbreaking ceremony earlier this week. Situated just 30 minutes from the majestic Zion National Park, this eagerly anticipated project is slated to open its doors in late 2025.

Nestled in the scenic landscapes of La Verkin, UT, Zion Canyon Hot Springs will welcome future guests to an oasis of wellness with a total of 53 bodies of water and an array of amenities to replenish those who seek revitalization of the mind, body, and soul. When it opens, the water features will include 32 natural hot spring pools, 16 meticulously crafted WorldSprings-inspired pools, three invigorating barrel saunas, three refreshing cold plunge pools, and an expansive freshwater pool and whirlpool.

Christian Henny, President of Zion Canyon Hot Springs

“We are thrilled to announce Zion Canyon Hot Springs, opening in Fall 2025, welcoming Southern Utah’s worldwide visitors and those of us who call it home,” said Christian Henny, President of Zion Canyon Hot Springs. “We look forward to creating what will become one of the top destinations for relaxation and overall wellness in the greater Zion area.”

The property will offer separate areas for families and adults, creating a curated experience for travelers with different needs. The all-ages family section will feature 14 mineral pools, a cold plunge pool, and a barrel sauna, alongside the expansive freshwater pool and whirlpool. The adult-only section will include 18 mineral pools, 16 WorldSprings pools, two cold plunge pools, and two barrel saunas.

Inspired by renowned hot springs from around the world, the WorldSprings pools will provide a unique and immersive experience, perfected through expertise gained from the expansion of Iron Mountain Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs, CO. The mineral pools in both the family and adult-only sections will offer temperatures ranging from 90 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, catering to individual preferences for a relaxing experience.

ARCO/Murray is finishing up construction on the second WorldSprings location near Dallas, TX, and will be the design-build general contractor on the Zion Canyon Hot Springs project as well. The entire entertainment and social wellness concept is nearly 70,000 SF with over 35,000 SF of building space. This project has been a long time in the making and has some unique challenges including assisting in the design of over 2,500 ft of piping to access the local natural spring water. The expansive collection of water features requires various complex pool and pump systems.

Once the property is complete, guests will be in the main building, where they can check in and peruse a selection of retail products. Access to the lower-level locker rooms, equipped with 1,150 secure lockers, can be conveniently reached via stairs or elevator.

Plans also include a building dedicated to food & beverage that will serve as the focal point. An upper family section and a separate lower adult-exclusive area will ensure seamless service for all guests. Both sections of the property will offer VIP cabanas for rent, allowing guests to elevate their experience with exclusive amenities and personalized service. Additionally, the family section will feature a recreational beer-only license, while the adult section will boast a full bar liquor license, offering a comprehensive selection of beer, wine, and spirits, allowing guests over the age of 21 to indulge in an assortment of libations while unwinding amidst the restorative waters.

Zion Canyon Hot Springs is poised to redefine the hospitality landscape of Southern Utah, offering a harmonious blend of natural beauty, luxurious amenities, and unparalleled relaxation.
