ARCO/Murray Completes Massive Self-Storage Facility in Englewood, New Jersey

ARCO/Murray partnered with Trojan Storage to complete the design-build delivery of a ground-up 162,446 square foot self-storage facility in Englewood, New Jersey. The 5-story, fully climate-controlled structure houses 1,386 storage units, ranging in a variety of sizes, thoughtfully designed to accommodate a wide range of self-storage needs. Trojan Storage will serve as both the owner and operator of this new state-of-the-art facility.
Engineered for long-term durability and performance in the Northeast’s dynamic climate, the facility features a robust structural steel frame, concrete foundation walls, and a thoughtfully detailed exterior. The façade combines a modern blend of metal panels, stone veneer, and over 5,000 square feet of expansive storefront glass. Inside, more than 1,000 motion-activated LED lights provide energy-efficient illumination, enhancing visibility both within the building and from the outside.
A secure, enclosed interior loading area is located behind large glass sectional overhead doors, providing direct indoor access and a smooth, weather-protected move-in experience. Operational efficiency is further elevated by Janus Noke Bluetooth-enabled smart locks, offering a fully automated customer experience and minimizing onsite staffing needs for Trojan’s operations.
Centrally located in the heart of Englewood, New Jersey, the facility is well-positioned to serve nearby suburban communities and the surrounding local businesses. Its proximity to the George Washington Bridge and the greater New York City area just across the Hudson River attracts both New Jersey residents and cross-state travelers in need of storage solutions.
This advanced facility represents the latest completion in a series of ongoing collaborations between ARCO/Murray and Trojan Storage. John Krawietz proudly served as the Project Manager while Site Superintendent, Rich Kraft, oversaw the day-to-day construction process.
