MADISON, AL – There’s a strong sense of pride when a builder looks back on what they created from the toil of their efforts. Made in America comes from blue-collar strength, work ethic, and is a culmination of what this nation personifies in its spirit to power our future.
On Thursday, March 13th, 2025, a special gathering of this “Made in America” pride took place in Madison, AL for OMCO Solar’s Alabama Solar Manufacturing Inauguration.
Attending the ribbon cutting of OMCO Solar’s new state-of-the-art solar manufacturing facility included Senator Britt’s team, Alabama Department of Commerce, Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, Limestone County Commission, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), SEIA, TenneSEIA, Energy Alabama, and many other industry partners, clients, colleagues, and friends.
Designed to support the region’s growing clean energy sector, the new facility was constructed by ARCO/Murray, bringing over 200,000 square feet of advanced manufacturing space to the Huntsville Greenbrier corridor. The morning festivities ended with tours showcasing the plant’s cutting-edge robotic production lines that produce the module rail for the First Solar Series 7 module, as well as roll form lines for OMCO’s factory-direct tracker and fixed tilt products. Over $10MM was invested into the facility, adding 70 full-time clean energy manufacturing jobs to the area.
As part of a localized Alabama supply chain, OMCO Solar is part of a strategic domestic manufacturing partnership with industry partners First Solar and Nucor just a few miles away. This partnership is a great example of US domestic manufacturing and supply chain optimization to bring value to solar customers and projects in the region.
