ARCO/Murray Delivers Zion Canyon Hot Springs, Expanding Partnership with WorldSprings

La Verkin, UT – August 1, 2025 – ARCO/Murray National is proud to announce the recent opening of Zion Canyon Hot Springs, a 20-acre resort property with almost 50 mineral pools, located just minutes from Zion National Park. Built in partnership with WorldSprings, the nation’s premier outdoor hot springs operator, the venue is the second property ARCO/Murray has completed with the brand, following their Dallas Grandscape location. ARCO/Murray broke ground on the Zion project in spring of last year, delivering a one-of-a-kind experience rooted in natural wellness and thoughtfully engineered aquatic systems.

The site features 30+ mineral-infused pools and 16 globally inspired pools designed to deliver restorative experiences that transport guests around the world. The pools are supplied with natural mineral water from the historic Pah Tempe Springs located up the river from the site through a landmark partnership with the Utah Water Conservancy District.

ARCO/Murray led the design-build delivery of the property, including:

  • Preconstruction management including permitting, land zoning conversion, traffic control studies, road improvements, and utility infrastructure improvements
  • Full design management including architectural (completed by HFA), MEPs, civil, and structural
  • Full 3D modeling of complex, underground piping systems through over 40 feet of topography change
  • Peer reviewed mechanical design for aquatic features including clash detection study and sequence of operations
  • Designing the controls and managing the installation and commissioning for the mechanical, mineral water, and pool systems through Second Order Controls, a division of ARCO/Murray
  • Construction management of the 20-acre site including but not limited to:
  • Extreme sitework
  • Commercial kitchen
  • 45+ Pools and aquatic features
  • Locker rooms
  • Barrel Saunas
  • On-site café and guest amenities
  • Full-service bar windows and VIP cabanas

The property complements the nearby national park experience, offering hikers and adventurers the perfect recovery destination.

“We’re grateful the WorldSprings team gave us the opportunity to deliver on this unique aquatic project,” said Dan Wagner, Director of Operations at ARCO/Murray. “These developments require deep technical knowledge and the right partners. Our team understands the unique challenges involved and knows how to deliver high-quality results in this specialized space.”

“ARCO/Murray has been a pivotal part of this project since the beginning,” said Blake Peterson, VP of Real Estate and Construction at WorldSprings. “Even with all of the complexities involved in a project like this, including intricate pool systems, intense site work, high-end finishes, and a highly remote location, they still managed to deliver on the budget and schedule set 18 months ago.”

The property has already been featured in leading hospitality publications, including Travel + Leisure, which spotlighted WorldSprings’ fresh take on wellness-focused travel.
