In honor of National Chili Day, our Dallas office hosted a Chili Cook-Off featuring recipes made with Hormel’s chili products. National Chili Day, celebrated every fourth Thursday of February, pays homage to a dish that’s deeply rooted in Texas culture. Chili was named the official state dish in 1977 and has long been part of Texas cook-offs, community gatherings, and local food culture.

As we continue construction on Hormel’s facility in Beloit, Wisconsin, our team marked the occasion by selecting recipes from Hormel’s collection and bringing their best versions to the table. After a round of taste testing, everyone cast their votes and a winner was crowned: Project Manager Noah Young with his Cilantro Lime Chili Birria Style Tacos.
