Northlake, TX/Feb. 2026 – Northlake Bible Church marked a major milestone on Sunday, February 8, as church leadership and congregation members gathered following service to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the church’s future home in Northlake, Texas. The ceremony brought together church members, project partners, and community supporters on the construction site, where attendees paused to reflect on the journey that led to this moment and the purpose the new facility will serve in the years ahead.
Austin Ahrendt, Director of Operations with ARCO/Murray, opened the ceremony by thanking those who helped make the event possible and recognizing the church for allowing ARCO/Murray to be part of the project. “This project is not just another project,” Ahrendt shared. “I’m thankful to be able to help build the home that the Northlake Bible Church family will reside in for years to come.”

Pastor Dusty Burris followed with remarks reflecting on God’s provision and faithfulness throughout the church’s history. Reading from Psalm 115, Burris reminded the congregation that the work taking place is ultimately for God’s glory. “What God has done so far and what He will do in the days ahead are all for His glory,” Burris said. “None of this was originally in our plans, but God provided this land at just the right time and in just the right way.”

Burris went on to share the story of how the church came to acquire the property, describing how conversations with the area’s developer led to an opportunity that made the project possible. What began as an unexpected discussion ultimately became the foundation for Northlake Bible Church’s permanent home. Following the remarks, members of the congregation gathered in small groups across the site to pray, giving thanks for God’s provision and asking for guidance as the church looks toward the future. The ceremony concluded with worship and the official groundbreaking, marking the beginning of construction.
ARCO/Murray is serving as the general contractor for the project. Construction is underway, with completion anticipated before the end of 2026. Once complete, the new facility, located within the growing Pecan Square community, will support Northlake Bible Church’s mission to serve its congregation and the surrounding area for generations to come.
